Sarasota Classic Car Museum
The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is a non-profit whose mission is to preserve cars from the 20th century. They provide research and educational programs that educate the community on automobiles in American History. It features over 75 vehicles and has even been featured on the History Channel for the recreation of Abraham Lincoln's funeral carriage.
The museum is recognized as the 2nd oldest operating antique automobile museum in America. Inside you’ll find European classics on rotating exhibits, and the largest room which is dedicated as the Timeline Room. Inside they tell the story of vehicles and the evolution of cars throughout history. After you visit stop by the Gift Shop to view/purchase rare collectibles, more unique exhibits, and automotive literacy.
The museum does support school tours and engages all ages on car-relevant history, issues, and solutions. They provide an enriching educational perspective including the social and environmental impacts of cars.
