The Railroad Museum of South Florida is a fun and interactive museum experience for the whole family! Not only can you visit the museum for an educational experience, but you can take a ride through the past on a miniature railway.
The museum is located in a 3,200 square foot building and features several scale model train layouts, lots of locomotive memorabilia, and even an interactive locomotive simulator. There is also a gift shop within the museum that offers train related items for both kids and adults.
In addition to the museum there is also a one-mile miniature train ride. The train takes visitors on a 15 minute scenic tour, which winds through miniature 1950's Southwestern Florida villages. The train travels through a 100-foot tunnel, over a trestle bridge and between lakes and wooded areas with views of local birds and wildlife. Please note that infants and pregnant mothers are not allowed to ride.
