The Naples Historic Society is a local nonprofit that has been established since 1962. The mission of the group is to protect the history of Naples for the future. Their work has been producing educational programs and preservation initiatives.
The Society headquarters is the historic Palm Cottage. It's the oldest house in all of Naples (built in 1895) and its primary function is now a museum. It's a landmark recognized by the National Registry of Historic Places. They host tens of thousands of visitors each year from all age groups. The cottage is where the educational programs take place and it's an amazing site to see.
The Norris Gardens is adjacent to Palm Cottage and was cultivated in 2004 to avoid construction being placed in this beautiful area. It tells a story much the same way the cottage does but through a different lens.
There are many tours you can take with your family and friends, and there is a ton of info about membership and visits on their site. You can even rent the Norris Garden for a special event!
