Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, located in North Port, Florida, offers 160 acres of natural old-Florida habitat.

Take a stroll across rustic paths and footbridges under the vast oak canopies. Wooded trails wind for 3.8 miles around the wooded landscape allowing for peaceful journeys while hiking, horseback riding, and biking.

This environmental park also offers camping opportunities within the grounds and near the Myakkahatchee River. These campgrounds provide quaint places for lounging on benches easy access to grills and fire rings for cooking and staying warm.

Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park allows visitors and residents the opportunity to fish, hunt, and observe the wildlife around them. If you choose to hunt or fish, be advised that a permit will be needed.

Bring your dogs along and let them experience all that Myakkahatchee has to offer as long as they are leashed.

For visitors experiencing this park in a single day, bring a picnic basket and enjoy your time in one of the many picnic shelters or picnic tables. No trash receptacles are available; therefore, please bring appropriate bags to carry leftover trash out with you.
