The Marietta Museum of Art and Whimsy is a non-profit, private foundation founded by Ms. Marietta Lee in 2010 to bring joy and happiness to visitors in times of darkness or stress. Ms. Marietta also planted a beautiful garden around the outside of the building to help create even more of an escape for its guests. Although the museum was intended to help people find a light at the end of the tunnel, you don't have to necessarily be in distress to enjoy the numerous, unique art this museum exhibits.
The Marietta Museum is open to people of all ages and walks of life! The museum is also wheelchair accessible and accepts the entrance and use of service dogs.
The tours offered at this museum are self-guided, but volunteers are stationed throughout to answer any questions you may have. As you make your way through this unique foundation, you will discover the owner has taken precise measures to collect and exhibit artists' work that helps educate their many visitors on our history and culture.
To further her mission, half of her artists are women, at least half are men, and almost all of them are currently living.
