One could easily spend the entire day at Lemon Bay Park & Environmental Center. It’s the perfect retreat for outdoor fun, including canoeing, fishing, birding, hiking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing. The park is dog friendly and it features 3 main hiking trails that are all partially paved and unpaved.
Bayshore Trail Loop is a leisurely .5 mile hike. It features 5 boardwalks, 2 pole shelters, and a pavilion about halfway through. This allows you to take in the scenery with the scenic overlook, and have lunch.
Flatwoods Trail Loop is also .5 miles and has benches and one 2-pole shelter. Not far from the entrance of this trail lies the Canoe and kayak landing. From here you can experience the native waters and their inhabitant's first hand.
Eagle trail loop is a 2-mile hike and has twelve boardwalks, and one 2-pole shelter at the entrance. All trails have access to parking, restrooms, and trail markers throughout.
