The Collier Museum at Government Center has 5 acres of the most beautiful landscape you've ever seen. They offer many different exhibits and galleries that showcase the local history of Naples.

Learn the history of prehistoric mastodons and colossal sharks that once roamed the tropical seas that were covering Southwest Florida. The ancient tools used by the Calusa Indian Civilization serve to highlight the magnificence and impact they had on this region.

There's a piece of history at this museum that you won't find anywhere else. It provides an inside look at the daily lives of these early settlers. You'll meet folks such as clam diggers, trail blazers, railroaders, and many other traders who pioneered this area.

They encourage you to pack a lunch, and enjoy a family picnic in the backyard of the museum while you roam around the garden. They have a list of permanent and rotating exhibits, so be sure to check their schedule.
