Take a trip back to the roaring 20s when visiting this local treasure! The 1927 Historic Venice Train Depot, originated and currently located in Venice, FL, was renovated in 2002-2003. There are historical tours that visitors can take for free, but there is a place for donations to help offset costs. Visitors can also choose to wander freely in the Train Depot, the caboose, and an additional historical item that arrived at the Depot in January 2021: the Circus Train Car!
For groups larger than 10, please contact the Venice Historical Society to arrange a private tour. The tour guides are volunteer docents from the Venice Historical Society and are always looking for volunteers to provide tours! Not only can visitors tour the Train Depot and the caboose but can also enjoy the artifacts and displays in the waiting rooms that depict historical events of both the Depot and the City of Venice. Also, the venue is available to rent for special events.
